Lynsey Isaacs, LMHC in Tulips

About

With over 11 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds on their journeys toward wellness. My Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University provided me with the foundation and skills to offer effective therapy.

My career began as a domestic violence counselor, giving me invaluable insight into the complexities of trauma and the resilience of the human spirit. I then transitioned to dual diagnosis inpatient psychiatric hospital care, specializing in mental health and substance abuse treatment. This experience deepened my understanding of the depths of mental health and honed my ability to provide compassionate support. Following my work in inpatient care, I spent four years as an individual lead counselor and group facilitator in a 28-day partial hospitalization program, where I managed a team of 10 therapists. This role provided broad exposure to a wide range of mental health diagnoses and effective treatment modalities.

For the past five years, I’ve been in private practice, working with adults, including the LGBTQIA+ community. I offer a safe and inclusive space for exploration and growth through individual therapy, therapeutic groups, life coaching, and corporate workshops designed to promote mental health awareness and resilience in the workplace. I continue my education and studies of trauma modalities.

My whole-person care approach is collaborative and directive. I use various therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and inner child work. I have over 10 years experience in treating depression and anxiety, getting to the root cause of problematic thoughts and behavioral patterns. I’m experienced in desensitizing unresolved trauma, including emotional abuse. I enjoy empowering healthy boundaries and instilling a strong sense of self worth while focusing on balanced self-care and the appropriate coping skills needed.

I believe each person’s journey is unique. I’m committed to guiding my clients with support, strategies, and empathy, wherever they are on their path. Together, we can navigate challenges and celebrate your successes.

Thank you for considering me as a partner in your mental health journey. I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
